Roman Fibulae

Description

A small, human shaped fibula, dressed in a long, pleated garment. The feet are turned outwards and the body is half-profiled. The spring and catch are missing. Though suffering damage from modern agricultural chemicals, the hair and features can still be made out and there is traces of silvering.

Very similar brooches have been found in the UK
