| Description | The back of the stiffener is plain. Propeller-shaped with chamfered outside edge. The triangular arms both have a single central rivet hole. The front is has a flat, raised ridge along the length of the mount which isdecorated with a zig-zag pattern. It would have been riveted vertically to a wide belt to stop it curling over at the edges, though these have also been used to decorate wooden caskets. |
